Queens’ MS 77d
The Martyrdom of St James the Great ordered by Herod Agrippa: St James’s companion is the scribe Josias who, according to the Golden Legend, led the saint to his martyrdom, saw him cure a sick man on the way, and asked to be converted. The high priest Abiathar swiftly obtained Herod’s order to have Josias executed together with St James.
