Books and Enslavement

This map shows the colonies that existed on the east coast of the Americas in the early eighteenth century. The small inscription on the bottom right-hand corner of the map reveals that it was once owned by <a href="https://www.queensoldlibrary.org/Exhibitions/Enslavement-Salvation/Queens-and-the-East-India-Company/"><u>David Hughes</u></a>
, a Queens’ Fellow from 1727 and Vice President of the college from 1749 until his death in 1777.
