Isaac Newton's Principia
This elegantly bound copy was the gift of Newton to his deputy as warden at the Royal Mint, John Francis Fauquier (d. 1726). From him it passed to his son Francis Fauquier (some-time friend of Thomas Jefferson and lieutenant-governor of Virginia), and then via Francis's son (a Queens' member) to his son William, who presented it to Queens'.
