Robert Clayton's Vindication of the Histories of the Old and New Testament
Clayton combined the eighteenth-century trend of analysing scripture to support his view of Christianity with scientific theories to provide proof of its accuracy. Here he references Whiston’s theory of tides and discusses eclipses, and refers to the seven colours of the rainbow, as discovered by Newton.
